Research Protocol & Dosage
Source-reported examples · not treatment recommendations
- Amount
- 0.0015%–0.005% active concentration in formulation examples
- Frequency
- Twice-daily application in the manufacturer example
- Cycle / observation period
- 28 days in that example
- Route / research model
- Topical
This is a topical formulation entry, not an injection protocol. Manufacturer testing and multi-ingredient studies do not isolate the effect of SNAP-8.
Titration & progression
A dose range is not a titration schedule. No independently verified stepwise escalation has been established for this source-reported regimen.
Supply & Planning
Compare vial strengths here. A different vial size changes the available material, not the biological dose.
Diluent & formulation
Topical formulation: use the documented cosmetic vehicle and final concentration. An injectable diluent is not applicable to the cited topical example.
Available source strength: 10 mg. A body-weight-dependent animal exposure or topical batch concentration cannot be converted into a generic human vial count.
Reported Research Results
Selected observations from the cited research. Each finding retains its study population, formulation and limitations.
- SNAP-8 is associated with acetyl octapeptide-3 in the PubChem identity record. The selected human studies below tested multi-ingredient microneedle products containing that ingredient. Their findings should be attributed to the tested products, not treated as isolated proof of SNAP-8's contribution. [1]
- A study published online in 2019 evaluated a hyaluronic-acid microneedle product containing several additional ingredients, including acetyl octapeptide-3, another peptide, adenosine and seaweed extracts. The study followed healthy participants with aged skin for 12 weeks and reported improvements in instrumental skin measurements, including wrinkles. [2]
- A 2024 study enrolled 24 healthy participants and compared a dissolving microneedle product containing hyaluronic acid, acetyl octapeptide-3, a vitamin-C derivative and another active ingredient against a hyaluronic-acid microneedle comparator over 28 days. The paper reported better wrinkle outcomes for the active product. [3]

Sources & Further Reading
Medical publications and supporting literature from the corresponding protocol bibliographies, combined across vial strengths. Supplier and commercial catalog references are excluded. Duplicate destinations appear once. Inclusion does not mean that a paper validates the reported dose, or that an ingredient study tests the finished blend.
